Anytime before 6 weeks is too early, even after 6 weeks if you begin to change it, and it hurts, it’s not ready. It takes about 6 months for a belly button to heal partially, and up to a year, sometimes longer in some people, to fully heal.

It takes 6 months to a year to heal. Piercings heal from the outside in, so if it looks healed it probably isn’t on the parts that you can’t see.

If you change too soon it could get irritated, higher chance of infection, and that could also make it start rejecting.

Nope, the site is wrong. The redness outside goes away before it has healed. A navel piercing takes 4-12 months to heal. It’s one of the slowest healers.

If it’s less than a year old go to a professional piercer to change it.
