Talk to the piercer. I wouldn’t do it, but see what they think!

no just leave the original piercing in until it heals all the way. If not you run the risk of it getting infected, more. Trust me it hurts like hell.

wow, for you to even want to take it out is weird cuz after I get something pierced I never take it out… I get all freaked out. lol.
but usually they tell you to leave the one they give you in there. but they never say why. just because it will close but thats when you first get it pierced.

No. Changing the jewelry while the piercing is healing will casue unnecessary trauma, make the healing take much longer, and make your risk of infection, migration, rejection, etc all much greater.
I have no idea what you mean by clear line or something smaller, but if you’re suggesting anything other than an appropriately sized retainer in the right gauge and length, it’s a bad idea. If you still choose to change it while it’s healing, knowing the risks, make sure to get a quartz retainer, as the plastic ones you can buy at places like hot topic hold bacteria and are really not a good idea, but would be tragic in a healing piercing. But if you mean something similar to fishing line, that’s just a bad idea. You can’t clean it well, the hole will shrink so you’ll beat it up trying to put real jewelry back in…it’s just not going to be good.
Wait until you can wear it long enough to fully heal without changing it. Even if you have to wait a few years, isn’t that better than changing it too early and using bad materials and having a scar right out in the open on you face where everyone will seei t first thing just because you Had to have a piercing that you knew you couldn’t care for properly?
